Every Dyson vacuum uses patented Root Cyclone™ technology. Unlike other vacuums, it doesn’t lose suction power so it removes more dust, dirt and allergens from your home.
Only cleaner expelled air
Some vacuum cleaners can’t keep hold of all the dust they pick up – so they vent it back into your room. That explains the dusty, electrical smell. Dyson cyclone technology is 99.9% efficient at separating dust and dirt. Dyson cyclones can capture particles down to 0.5 microns – including pollen, mould and bacteria.
HEPA filter
Dyson Allergy and Animal machines have a sealed HEPA (High-efficiency Particle Airflow) filter to capture particles as small as 0.1 microns. That’s equivalent to a single particle of cigarette smoke.
How Root Cyclone™ technology works
- Fibres and pet hair are separated out of the airflow and deposited in the bin
- Dirt is drawn into a powerful cyclone. Centrifugal forces of 500G fling larger dirt, debris, fibres and pet hair into the clear bin.
- Finally, a cluster of smaller, tighter cyclones generate centrifugal forces up to 150,000g, which extract particles as small as bacteria. You could fit 200 on this full-stop alone.
- Dyson cyclones can capture particles down to 0.5 microns – including pollen, mould and bacteria.
